Pandemic Portraits

Some of the faces I was lucky to see in 2020.

This past year, I saw images of people far more than I saw people in person. This may be true even in non-pandemic times (I’m a homebody, and spend more time on screens than I care to admit), yet it became a universal experience for those of us who did our best to stay put and weather this long storm. Our connection and comfort came mediated, at a remove. We found ourselves accidental wallflowers.
